Elephant reserve game viewing

An experience worth the journey. The Maputo Elephant Reserve is another great Mozambiquan treasure and a change of pace from the beach front.

Trips to the Maputo Elephant Reserve can be arranged by prior request. Please take note that it does take approximately an hour to reach the reserve and approximately 2-2.5 hours to drive the inside of the reserve. All in all, one would require 5-6 hours to visit the reserve but for those that are interested, the scenery and game viewing is really rewarding. Good populations of elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, common reedbuck, zebra, nyala and red duiker are present with a smaller chance of spotting blue duiker, giraffe, leopard and hippo.
